The Little Caesars Arena project exemplifies the value of Jones' preconstruction services for large-scale, custom projects. Prior to putting the contract out for bid, Jones Sign was asked to assist in developing the project specifications and budget. Jones worked with the design team and general contractor to ultimately win the design/build contract based on our conceptual design package bid.

This was a complex project involving interior and exterior branding and signage as well as specialty design elements. The challenge was to create a graphic of the Little Caesars pizza logo figure to span the arena dome.
Jones' preconstruction services were used to understand the true scope and budget of the project prior to the formal awarding of the bid. We worked with the construction manager to develop project specifications and budgeting which then advanced to the engineering of the signs, their supports, and their mounting methods. The information obtained through the preconstruction services allowed us to present a conceptual design package that was then used in the project bid and for project completion.
Jones was responsible for completing interior and exterior branding with signage and specialty design elements. This included over 1,000 custom signs, integrated lighting, outdoor digital video displays, and a signature marquee blade sign with 20' x 20' vintage ghost neon head.
We used a Trimble laser survey system to stencil the large cartoon graphic - the Little Caesars pizza logo figure - spanning thousands of square feet across the arena dome.
This project reached the LEED Certification Level of Silver.
