The project is a joint venture of CBL and Associates and The Benchmark Gtroup. Nord du Lac Speciality Products Awarded to Jones8/15/2008 - Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors has selected Jones to provide Ornamental Metals and Fabric Awnings for Colonial Pinnacle Nord du Lac retail center located in Covington, Louisiana. Construction is expected to run through the summer of 2009. The owners of the development are Colonial Properties Trust. Jones to Produce Underwater Lighted Letters for Port Orange07/29/2008 - One of the featured signs at the Pavillions at Port Orange development in Florida is a 55’ long curved sign near the main entry at a pond. The lighted letters on the sign will be submerged about 4 months of the year during the rainy season. The sign was designed to withstand these conditions using fiber optic lighting. It will take on a different look depending on the clarity of the water at the time but will remain lit. Designer of this unique effect was Sara Huie Design. Innovative LED Sign Produced for Fox Valley Technical College6/25/2008 - Jones Sign installed a new highway sign for FVTC at their main campus along Hwy. 41 in Appleton, Wisconsin. This 60’ sign features all super energy saving LED lighting and is made from all recycled aluminum, steel and plastic. The sign is the first for the campus, with the rest of the signs at the campus and other campuses being replaced over the next two years. Jones fabricated the sign from plans provided by FVTC. New Sign Design for Bass Pro – Crossroads of America6/21/2008 - The first of the new sign look for Bass Pro Shops was completed in Rossford, Ohio by Jones Sign. “Crossroads of America” is the featured slogan on the new style signs. Bass Pro is a leader in combination entertainment and retail destinations, and their stores draw from tremendous distances. A Bass Pro grand opening is an event on the scale of a state fair. Jones Sign is proud to have furnished at least some of the signs for every Bass Pro location. Designs by Bass Pro Shops. Edgewater Mall Sign Completion6/10/2008 - Jones Sign has completed the replacement sign at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, MS. The mall is aptly named since the sign stands less than 100 yards from the Gulf of Mexico. The old sign was taken away by Hurricane Katrina and it has taken this long to work through insurance and permitting issues. The new sign features a mega sized full color digital display. Design was by Stratident. Mall owner is Jim Wilson and Associates. Jones to Produce Signage for West Virginia University6/1/2008 - Jones Sign has been selected to fabricate and install signs for the new building at WVU. The featured sign is a 16’ tall stainless steel version of the school logo. The design is by Stanley Beaman & Sears Architects. Jones Awarded Pavillions at Port Orange Project5/15/2008 - EMJ Corp, general contractor, has awarded Jones Sign the entire sign fabrication and installation contract for this new mall in Melbourne, Florida. The architect is Cooper Cary Associates. The overall project has a value of $55 million. Jones to Visit Mount Rushmore5/5/2008 - Reece-Campbell Inc. has hired Jones Sign to fabricate and install major ID signs for it’s regional retail center named Rushmore Crossings. The development is expected to open in the fall of 2008. Target is one of the anchors. Legends at Sparks Signs Contract with Jones Sign4/20/2008 - Red Development of Denver entrusted Jones Sign to manufacture and install 6 massive freestanding signs at it’s development in Sparks, Nevada. The signs are for the retail phase. Future phases are for a hotel and a casino. Jones developed the design from ideas by the site architect. Stanberry Development Chooses Jones Sign4/10/2008 - Stanberry Development of Ohio awarded 3 major mall sign projects to Jones Sign for malls in New Jersey: the Shoppes at Flemington, the Shoppes at Cross Keys and the Shoppes at Hamilton. The designer is Signcom. Charming Shoppes Chooses Jones4/3/2008 - Jones has been awarded the contract to manufacture and install signs for all Charming Shoppes new stores in the Northeast and Southeast regions of the US. Brands include Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Petite Sophisticate and Catherine’s. 30 to 40 new locations per brand are planned per year. Jones Given Sign Project at Orchard Valley3/14/2008 - Pogue-McEwan Development awarded the manufacturing contract for all signs at the regional mall under construction near Sacramento, California. RSM is the design firm. This major development is set to open phase one in the fall of 2008 with future phases for mid 2009 and 2010. A free standing Bass Pro Shop store is under construction at the site, Jones will supply the signs for this retailer as well. Jones Billboards to Join Amber Alert (Green Bay Press-Gazette)3/4/2008 - Jones Media's digital billboard network has joined the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Amber Alert program. Amber Alerts will post on all Jones digital billboards along U.S. 41 and Wisconsin 172 within minutes of notification by the Department of Justice. With the advent of satellite radio, digital billboards have become an important piece of the Amber Alert network, effectively reaching motorists who out of reach of broadcast radio, television and print. Approximately 150 people are employed at Jones Sign headquarters in the Town of Lawrence. The company was founded in 1910. Jones Sign purchased a vacuum forming machine2/15/2008 - Jones Sign has purchased a vacuum forming machine for its plant at 1711 Scheuring Road in De Pere. The new equipment will allow Jones to form up to 8’x14’ sign faces in one piece. This equipment will serve Jones' national chain store market. Jones Doubles Up at Imperial Valley1/26/2008 - Jones completed all the major identity signs at the Imperial Valley Commons Mall for EMJ Corp, GC and now will start on the Bass Pro signs at the same site. The location is halfway between San Diego, CA and Yuma, AZ. The Jones Media unit of Jones Sign has acquired the billboard assets of Meiers Outdoor Advertising.1/25/2008 - Jones Media operates billboards in five states. Jones Sign is headquartered in Lawrence, WI. The additional billboards will be absorbed into the existing Jones operation. Jones Sign recently completed an addition to its facility on 1711 Scheuring Road in the Town of Lawrence.12/20/2007 - 20,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space was added along with an additional 5000 sq. ft. of office/conference space and a 12,000 sq. ft. vehicle storage facility.
