What Jones Sign Has to Offer You

The Work
We make custom sign products. The work is not repetitious or boring; each day is different and each project presents new challenges. No two projects are exactly alike.

Salesmen discover client needs and desires, designers come up with ideas which turn into jobs, fabricators make the signs, painters decorate the pieces, assemblers put it all together, installers put it up and service people keep it lit. Support staff and management keep it all going.

Most of our signs are put up in Green Bay and the Fox Valley. We can see them and they are a source of pride to all who work here. Other signs are put up in Milwaukee, Chicago, Minnesota and many other states.

The quality and creativity of our products has a direct and measurable impact on the success of our customers. Because of our signs, our customers tend to be more profitable and stay in business longer than other businesses.

Our product is legal, ethical, safe, environmentally friendly and benefits others.

The Culture
The company has an experienced, stable work force of over 150 employees. The average tenure is over 8 years; many also have experience working at other sign companies.

This is very much a team atmosphere and the people you work with are one the most important ingredients.

Present management has been in place since 1982. They are aggressive but do not set unrealistic goals and take big risks to grow the company. There is no politics or favorites played in the company. Everybody is treated fairly and with respect. Your performance is noted and you are paid accordingly.

The company is safety conscious. No one is ever asked to do something unsafe or that they are not trained to do. The building is clean and orderly. We pride ourselves on keeping up-to-date equipment whether it be machinery, vehicles or computers.

We sponsor company bowling, softball and golf teams and are open to sponsoring other activities. There is a summer picnic as well as a Christmas and Packer tailgate party each year. There are also many informal get-togethers outside of work.

The Pay
Pay rates are at the top of the scale for independent employers and up there with the best machine shops and metal fabrication companies. The rates are far higher than other sign companies. Individual pay rates are set based on experience and then adjusted each anniversary date based on performance.

This is stable, full time work. The normal plant workweek is 4-½ days finishing up at 12:30 on Friday. Office hours are normally 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. Overtime is available for those who want it and occasionally mandatory to meet customer needs when we are very busy.

There are opportunities to travel around the country to do sign installations with all meals and expenses paid by the company.
