Alamance Crossing

Burlington, NC - Alamance Crossing is a CBL & Associates new mall in Burlington, NC built along the Interstate. Jones was brought into the project to advise how to take best advantage of the great traffic pattern, not just for the mall but for it's anchor tenants. Jones changed existing designs to maximize the readability of tenant names from the Interstate in a way that was acceptable to the local authorities. Several of the major signs had to be located on severe grades and were a challenge to construct. Jones provided all exterior and interior signs, directories, wayfinding signs, benches, bollards, trash containers, street signs as well as installation services. Only 85 days passed from award to completion. The mall opened in 2007 and Jones is now engaged in signs for phase 2 of the mall.
